From Scazli's blog, a Tainted Love cover by Max Raabe. As he says, it's "as if the Weimar Republic somehow made it to 1981. Which, you know, wouldn’t have been a bad thing, considering what the alternative was."

And totally check out the cover of "Oops! I did it again!" while you're at it.

And if you were born before 1981: A little Utah Saints Something Good 2008 to make you smile

Ah, Utah Saints, forgot how much I liked them. (does that date me terribly?)

And the Tainted Love cover was made of win. Thanks for sharing.

If you like that style. Something unique that you might also like, the Puppni Sisters - they're a girl group that does stuff in the style of the Andrews Sisters that does some covers of pop stuff that are great!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZXQhZmUdnI - that's their cover of Heart Of Glass. They've done some others. Their first cd is better than their second - good songs but poor recording quality. First album had Heart of Glass. Second had Crazy In Love and Walk Like An Egyptian on it - worth a listen on youtube despite sound quality not being perfect. I love them and have both CDs on my ipod :o)

My favorite version of "Oops" is the original recording by Louis Armstrong.

After listening to "Oops, I did it again" *points at icon*. I think the therapy might just be worth it.

And! I must rething my decision not to buy his (Max Raabe's) album (I'd heard he wasn't all that good; though, in retrospect I had hear that from someone who couldn't be called unbiased). XD

In that case, I probably shouldn't show you the version with Britney's music video and Max's vocals: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mjonrqYtyY

i'm totally digging that band :)

*g*

couldn't watch the video, though (probably because of this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7933565.stm ... or, well, not exactly, since I'm not in GB but they did the same in Germany).

I found a link that works (for me); I'm guessing this is the same video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1qb5Svs5xg

(And that is hilarious. *g*)
