IRL, am dying of the heat. My city has no AC. My work computer shut down once today b/c it overheated. Ugh. But I'm drinking ice water and waiting for heat wave to be over (in 8 days). C'est la vie, c'est moi.

We just put in our air conditioner yesterday after putting it off for weeks, as our weather has been cool until now, when there is a threatened heat wave. I suspect we looked pretty hilarious struggling to fit the damned heavy thing in the window, screaming and cursing one another!

A couple of ways to keep cool is to open your windows, find one that's letting a cool breeze in and pluck a fan in front facing inward. You want air circulation inside so you don't bake. Draw your curtains/blinds when the sun is shining inside it helps a lot.

If you computer is overheating, pull it out from wherever it is so the heat is not trapped under your desk, a small fan sitting on the floor facing the computer wouldn't hurt either.

I KNOW!!! So freaking hot. I had trouble sleeping last night, so I might by a mini-AC for the bedroom, but I get paid on Friday and, by then, the heat wave will be OVER!! Oh, well. Until then, I forsee little sleep in my future.

Your city has no AC? Heartless bastards. I'm glad I live in a city that does have it, although they're pretty cheap. They require homeowners and businesses to buy their own equipment.
