Even though I've just started on the fourteenth chapter of Inevitable, I thought I'd tell y'all that the chapter title is " That is not dashed with pain and weariness and fault; I crave the stain. " It will not be a happy chapter. But that's okay.
I took the last few days off . I just needed a bit of a break from all fic, all the time, after that posting spree on Sunday. On Monday, well, I had just bought the new Merry Gentry book and I was busy. On Tuesday, I was trying to keep on top of LJ stuff. Yesterday, I had a Guide meeting (you try running around after 12 9-year-old girls for an hour and a half at the park, then see if you're up to ficcing afterward) then fell into the trap that was trillian.
Also, I'm still furiously mentally hammering away at Switchback. Usually when I'm trying to mentally plot a story, I don't have four others on the go. So I'm all confused. I have three different angsty Anitas in my head and they all have different glitches. Hard to keep straight.
Re the Skyhawke thing: Is it me, or are the upset people trying to justify the merits of chan? Are there merits to chan? And why is it called that?
ETA: This week's TTH drabble. Now all I need to do is make up my bi-weekly ten
abvh100 drabbles.

Date: 2005-04-22 07:41 am (UTC)You are a braver one than I to work with Guides. The scant few hours I spend with my 9 year old cousin as a babysitter sap my energy. What do they feed kids today?! Oi.
On a side note, disregard anything weird I said/did last night, please. I'm feeling sort of, erm, fuzzy-headed today, and can scarcely remember anything beyond adding you to my friends list on messenger. I slept til noon today, I was so out of it. *is embarrassed*
Nice drabble. I can totally see Faith asking that.

Date: 2005-04-22 01:43 pm (UTC)There are merits to all writing styles whether or not you enjoy reading them. It takes special skill to write a convincing chan story. It takes a very unique mindset to make it work and I think that is one of the beauteous parts of chan. It isn't something I read regularly but there are pieces I've read that amaze me.
*shrug* Whatever floats your boat .. that's my motto. I don't have to like it but I do try to understand it.
