FFA, more voting

Morning, everyone. Happy Saturday to y'all.

Two things this fine morning:

1) New FFA fic over on TTH. Not Supposed To, a Buffy/Quantum Leap ficlette. The pairing is Jenny and Sam Beckett. It's a new take, for me anyway.

2) Pomme de Sang is having voting on its AB fics. My two are up for WIP votes, and Inevitable is also nominated in the Action category. You can go and vote if you'd like. You can vote here.

May I just rant a moment about AB fics in general having little to no pairing descriptions? I hate that.

Even if there is no romantic pairings, I still like to know. *grumbles* I hate that. I'm spoiled I know .. but I don't like clicking on each link to find something that interests me (on the PDS site, the list of nominees). I think that's the primary reason I don't read many AB fics .. the authors don't let me know enough information before I start to read.

Are you comparing to TTH? I know, it's a bit hard to get around. If it's any help, most of the stories on that site (90% or so) seem to be Anita/Edward. Make of that what you will.

TTH doesn't bother me so much, it was the Pomme de Sange fic awards page ..

I think one of the reasons I don't read much AB fic is that any pairing is too plausible and it takes the fun out of it. I mean, JC/Asher? Yeah, it's canon. .. what's the fun of writing about it? I think the inplausibility (is this even a word?) of slash is what keeps me reading.

Huh. I have to say that I tend to prefer the more plausible pairings. Which is why I'm generally anti-Anita/Edward. The other, slashy pairings I can only really get into if I think they're in character. Most slash with Richard and Micah are out, then.
