Another day

First, an announcement -- Three new fics added to the The Ginourmous list of Anita Blake/Harry Potter fanfic. Two from our very own catherinecookmn, based on the Inevitable universe! Rock.

Now, me. So I spent my day going over and over stuff. I've got half a Firefly ficlette done (post-movie), and am 1,800 words into an Anita Blake/BtVS fic, based on Thanksgiving. I'm trying to write Anita not being all together correct, and it's basically a characterization challenge. Hopefully I can get it done. Or at least get something done. On the upside, I know where this next chapter of Switchback will end (at about 6pm, and to anyone who's recently read Circus of the Damned, you'll know who Anita is meeting for the first/millionth time the chapter after this one).

Other than writing, this evening, I've been making icons for icontests and been watching the Daily Show. Yes, I'm dull. And after this meme, I'm going out for a walk in the rain. Or, um, maybe go to bed.

How I define myself:

I am a person who...
1. ... is very empathetic. I often pick up on how others are feeling, and it can impact my mood and thoughts.
2. ... writes. It's who I am. A writer. Fiction or non-fiction, fanfic or original work, it's my thing. Putting words to the screen.
3. ... is very particular about her beer. I cannot really drink any other form of alcohol, as it would make me cranky and generate a hangover the next morning. I'm much better with beer, and the beer has to be very specific. This is what happens when you live in the microbrew capital of Canada.
4. ... loves music. I've had a walkman or mp3 player since I as about 13.
5. ... has no hesitation to tell you what I think about politics. To the point of bluntness.
6. ... stutters occasionally, and isn't overly happy about it. Also, I talk way too fast.
7. ... has been burned once, and is twice shy.
8. ... had conservative politics when I was a child, but I got better.
9. ... wants to make a lasting contribution, but sometimes I wonder if any of it means anything.
10. ... sometimes doesn't understand why anyone wants to be my friend, but wants to be friends with people none-the-less.
