Ah, real life. Actually, I have no fic today (!!!) so you'll have to make do with a little Bit About Me instead.

What's on tap for Mhalachai in the coming months? I'm so glad you asked.

1. On Nov. 20, I'm running the 10k in the Fall Classic at UBC. Considering I only started running ten weeks ago, this is pretty hardcore. I'm very excited about it.

2. I'm toying with the idea of using a month to write a book. Yes, I know, everyone uses November for it, but I'm finally starting to get my protagonist in line. At this point, I might take part of December off writing fic to work on my book, using the intervening month to plot things out and slap my protagonist into shape (he's on a terrible bender right now. His wife just left him... okay, five years ago, but he has problems dealing with it). Will advise.

3. I'm still having some issues bouncing between Switchback and Inevitable Anita. I'll probably write Inevitable for ten more chapters (until the end of August in that world) then bounce to Swtichback for a bit. Of course, I may also decide to keep writing Inevitable until I'm done, then move to Switchback. Only time will tell.

As for tomorrow, I'll be working on Inevitable and on various ficlettes. La la. How are you doing?

Good for you on the running! Spouse is biking again after over a decade off due to hand issues, but the new ergonomic grips (and the front shocks) help muchly.

Enjoy writing your novel!

I think I will, the writing I mean. I was on the bus this morning, and a scene just came to me... and with just enough quirks to be interesting :) It's just like thinking up fanfic, only scarier.

Doing well. Decided after regutting various parts of my ficlets that I didn't need the emergency beta, but thank you for saying it would be okay. I'll definitely take you up on it in the future. Did you get a chance to read the four new drabblets in that series?

And I'm so impressed about the running thing. Very impressed. Go you!

They were lovely ficlettes. I'm salavating to know what else happens in your world (and where Illyria is?) Can't wait for more, and will respond propely when I get home.

Yeah, go me. I'm still really slow, but that's okay. I think I'll be slow for a while yet.

Yes! Yes! Yes! We're rooting for you! Can you hear that annoying buzzing sound? Yes, the one kind of like a gnat. That's your screaming fans! And they're cheering for you whether you're running or writing!

And, *gasp*, I'm finnally logged in.

Finally logged in! Yay!(Not sure why that's cheer-worthy, but it's an odd day)

And thanks :D

Every one needs to do a little Yay! sometimes...It's great stress relief.

I'm just surprised that I finnally took the time to find out what my password was.

I don't know how I missed this post. While I will miss your fanfic, I'm all in favor of you writing a novel. I think you have immense talent and should be getting paid for it!

Good luck in the Fall Classic. Very exciting. A colleague of mine began running a few years and ago and she went all gung ho and loved it. (Still does.)

I'm not even sure if I'll be able to stay away from fic that month. Maybe I'll just do those ficlettes. It's not like the problem I have with writing the different Anitas.

And I'm running tonight, too. We ran for 60 minutes on Wednesday... that was a painful time, let me tell you. But I'm getting used to it.
