His casual use of magic so radically different than that of his new companions was perfectly placed.

Thanks. I'm going to address this further in the next chapter, a bit of magic and its uses and such.

I also quite liked Anita and Richard's civility
I think this is where LKH is headed, them being able to basically lead the pack but fundamentally unable to live together. They're trying, which is what Richard started doing in ID, I feel.
