My favorite awards (Crossing Over Awards) from my favorite fanfic archive (Twisting the Hellmouth) are up for 2008!

And lo, I have been nominated for some awards!

(It may not surprise you to learn that most are for non-BtVS crossovers, which possibly defeats the purpose of the awards but that's how we roll)

Ma OM NOM NOMS (in no order):

Jack knows better than to trust little girls in haunted houses. Honest.

Vote now!

Thank you all so much for that lovely nominations! the best part about writing fanfic on livejournal is the community and the back-and-forth on writing. I love each and every one of you :)

So please go browse all the lovely nominees at the COA awards and vote for your favourite story/writer. And if you vote for me, I will give you hugs and squishes*

You mean I have to choose between Agent Afloat Atlantis and Songs Across the Ocean? Oh, that is so not fair!

Give your love to the newer of the stories. People have given Songs so much attention, Agent Afloat needs to make up the difference.

Actually, the reason I accepted both noms for the same category is that I love each of those stories. SGA tends to give voice to the most delicious of crossovers.

*goes off to change vote* Yes, I voted for "Songs", because I've loved that story from the first time I read it, even though I'm not much of a Potter fan (I've read the first 6 books, don't plan to bother with 7).

Yes, I love Stargate crossovers more than pretty much any other, though Buffy comes in at a very close second. And I'm very partial to NCIS/Stargate crossovers! There just aren't enough of those out there for my liking.

Agent Afloat of course *grumble, grumble, I don't understand why PotS wasn't there* ;-)

Because the nominations have to be for completed crossovers to count. Ran into that problem myself when I was nominating stuff. *sigh*

PotS next year! Completed in the next 350 days... I can do that, right?

And lo, I have been nominated for some awards!

And deservedly so! I just adore Ghost Story and that whole Angels & Drums series. Is there any chance you're going to continue work on it?

Thanks!

I have written half the next instalment of Angels and Drums, but then it was a bit Jossed and haven't gotten back to it recently. So I might continue but I'm not sure? How's that for a non-answer?

Heh! You're not a politician are you?

I can't recall your stance on the comics - is that what you mean by Jossed? If so, my advice (for what it's worth) would be to simply pretend the comics didn't happen (oh, please!). :-P

Anyway, if you need a beta consider me a volunteer. As you may gather, I'm a reader/watcher in the BtVS & DrWho fandoms although I never went beyond S1 in Torchwood.

Just a minor point about voting in the COA's - from the rules: The crossing over awards are a community project. Therefore, only those that held active TtH accounts before nomination started may vote; if you have joined TtH since then, I'm afraid you will have to wait until next year.

Unfortunately, none of the "Best Unfinished" categories included non-BtVS crossovers. Otherwise, PotS would have been nominated.

But maybe you could have some BtVS character do a non-intrusive walk-on at some point? :-) so it qualifies next year?

That's what happens when I try and look for rules late at night. I can never remember that rule, year to year.

Hopefully, next year PotS will qualify for best *finished* non-BtVS crossover.

Woot!! Congrats!

Plus, apparently I've been so out of it that I missed fic so must go read because it would be so wrong to vote if I don't read first! Wheee!
